Frida vans

Vans is a renowned sports shoe brand focused on more like skateboarding. This time he wanted to take out several models to pay tribute to this Mexican painter who has been and is an icon for the feminist movement.

It is not the first time that the American brand use a renowned figure within the world of painting. Just last year he surprised us with his collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum with some very special slippers; like these other collaborations from the same museum.

This year it was Vault by Vans that inspired by an artistic collection, we can find a series of models of their shoes with the image of the renowned Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.

And the truth is that they are perfect with some quite vivid colors and the image of the painter Mexican in any of the models. The goal of these Vans models is to celebrate the art and life of the Mexican artist who has been famous for her self-portraits and those nature-inspired works.

There are three models that have been inspired by Kahlo's artwork and among which include Las Dos Fridas painted in 1939 and which is on the OG Sk8-Hi LX model from Vans. The other two models are the OG Authentic LX in which you can see the print of the melon from Khalo's Viva la Vida work, and the other model OG Slip-On LX to celebrate the iconic painting Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird of 1940.
