Don´t Starve is a game based on survival in which his great visual style stands out. A dreamlike world of its own that could perfectly have come from the mind and ingenuity of film director Tim Burton; especially for its darker side.
This time Jeff Agala, the illustrator behind Don´t Starve, has taken his time to illustrate characters from video games and movies. Some are the fighters of Street Fighter 2 such as Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li or Ken, while he has also left space to draw Mario, Donkey Kong or Luigi.
Following their own drawing style, each of those movie characters like Star Wars with his Boba Fett, Darth Vader or Luke SkywalkerThey are capable of making us smile with that darker tone, but without losing an iota of sympathy.
They could perfectly become one of the avatars of Don´t Starve to have even superheroes like him Captain America or Hulk. Agala makes a lighthearted drawing with various strokes to create sketches of these characters and show her great technique.
He does not lack that slightly dark touch for a style that has served him give life to a dream world both in Don´t Starve and in the next expansion, Shipwrecked; one where the protagonist travels to a more tropical world in which he meets new enemies as well as another type of environment.
