The fate of our projects is a question that we have to ask ourselves from the first moment we get to work on a composition. It is not the same if we are working on a project that is going to have a physical or printed medium as its destination or if we are working on a project that is going to be broadcast in digital environments and electronic devices. There is a huge difference. One of the facets that we must determine in this phase of our work is the color mode.

We can use different color modes and each of them is designed to work on projects of a certain type and that have a certain purpose.

In the following video we are going to review the most important color modes and we are going to see how we can access the different color libraries (among which are the Pantone classifications and many others). We will also learn how we can convert from one color mode to another color mode from within the Adobe Photoshop application and how we can convert from processed colors created in CMYK (that is, with Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black inks) to Pantone shades. The truth is that they are extremely simple steps but at the same time decisive and tremendously important in the final results. It will depend on the type of modality that we choose that we will obtain a different result and possibilities. Did you know about color modes and the Pantone library in Adobe Photoshop?
