We already know the Eurovision logo

One more year, part of the world will be watching Europe, and all thanks to the Eurovision Song Contest. A festival that will be held on the next 9, 11 and 13 May and of which we have already begun to know some details. One of them, the one that interests us the most in this community, is the logo, which I am going to talk about next.

In a year in which Europe is going through a period of turmoil, the Eurovision Song Contest seeks to restore order to the continent with its new logo.

Created in collaboration between two Ukrainian agencies, Republique and Band, This logo is about inclusivity. With the slogan "Celebrate Diversity", spectators and attendees will be able to see this design during the contest when it takes place in May in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

According to Jon Ola Sand, executive supervisor of the festival: “the concept of celebrating diversity […] perfectly matches the Eurovision values: total inclusion and openness to countries in Europe and beyond, coming together to celebrate both our common ground like our unique differences, as well as good music.

The logotype takes its inspiration from a traditional Ukrainian necklace called Namysto. This necklace is said to be more than a piece of jewelry, rather it is a protective amulet and a symbol of beauty and health. Composed of different balls, each with its own design, Namysto celebrates diversity and individuality.
