Would you like free wedding invitations? Enter the link that we just left you, although if you still want more ideas and advice, below we give you a series of guidelines that you should consider when creating your personalized wedding invitation.
Format
RectangularIn rare cases, a square format is chosen for wedding invitations. Probably the main reason for this is that it is the fastest option to execute: all invitations are printed on one or more sheets and are automatically cut with the guillotine. But, if the occasion deserves it ... Why not think of other geometric figures? Rhombuses, circles, triangles ...
In general, if used, the stamping is made up of flowers. Why not use another reason? For example, use elements that are meaningful to the couple.
Red
There seem to be only two types of inks: spot color or metallized (silver, gold and bronze). They rarely bet on fluorescent ones, but below you will see an invitation in which the pink ink makes the difference (invitation number 13).
Packaging
Wedding invitations inside clutch. Why? What is the reason? Usually, it is the bride and groom in person who hand-deliver the invitations to their recipients: so the option of the envelope is no longer necessary. Why not think of a more elaborate packaging? Maybe for the price. But, in very specific situations, we can find other more striking solutions. You can see, for example, the choice for the wedding Daniela & Klaus (number 14).
Support
Paper. Always. Why don't we think about fabrics? Or on web pages? Or mobile applications, or videos ... That is why I liked the option of include a flipbook next to the invitation, which we can see in example number 19.
- Marta & Ramón's wedding
Designed by Carlos Robledo. A very difficult assignment for him due to being the brother of the bride. This was his gift at your wedding; letterpress and digital printed and hand-assembled by the whole family. The design sought to show the more traditional part of the wedding with a "do it yourself" touch. The fabrics make each invitation unique.
- Bèo's wedding. Vân Dung & Frân
Designed by Dung Tran. This invitation was for an old friend of hers. To do this job he spoke a lot about all the aspects of the wedding with the organizer: the decoration, the songs that would be played, the poem that a friend would recite… In this way, she got all the information she needed for inspiration to emerge.
- Fiona & Kai's wedding
Designed by Anna Katharina. Here the print, previously done by hand with watercolors, takes on great importance.
- Elisa & Thomas wedding
Designed by Etch Design Group. Inspired by tropical gardens from Cairns, this was the pack designed for Elise and Thomas's wedding. The work shows bold calligraphy combined with tropical flowers.
- Danis & Tiara Wedding
Designed by Sciencewerk Design. All Artwork They are inspired by the Chinese zodiac and the 8 years that Danis & Tiara had been together. All the wedding couples are represented by animals: cockatoos, cats, dogs, hamsters ...
- Anton & Julia's wedding
Designed by Iulia Groves. I love the handmade typeface and the contrast of the orange tree with the envelopes.
- Kristine & John's wedding
Designed by Kevin Tran for a good friend. It is a very delicate work, in which even the smallest detail takes on meaning: the edge of gold it is used to mark tradition and prosperity, the light and heat of summer; the paper, of heavy weight and off-white, refers to the couple's 10 years.
- Icha & Nana's wedding
Designed by Cempaka Surakusumah. We see for the first time an over-risky color, which shies away from the neutral to find itself in a more "pop" range. We once again see golden ink and flowers as protagonists.
- Mariel and Alfonso
Designed by Mariel Gutierrez Rucksi. Neutral colors, handmade typography and illustration.
- Zack & Elizabeth's Wedding
Designed by Elizabeth Baddeley. A wedding invitation very different to all the others. What do you think?
- Michael and Sophia's wedding
Designed by Sandra Berger. Flowers, handmade typography, pastel colors ...
- Alex & Alicia's wedding
Designed by Joel Derksen. Alex and Alicia provided the designer with a series of references: a trip that they had taken that they had loved, places they liked, special moments ... So Joel Derksen decided to make a different wedding invitation: a walkable invitation. That is why we have a mini Alex and Alicia made of paper, which we can move around the map into which the invitation becomes once open, and see the different points.
- Luciana and Lisandro's wedding
Designed by Andres Rossato. All the importance is the typography: there are no illustrations, no prints. Only the combination of two inks: gray and phosphor pink.
- Daniela & Klaus wedding
Designed by Bureau Rabensteiner. Why are all invitations delivered in envelopes? Here in a bottle.
- Lyn & Kirsten's wedding
- Cristina & Aaron's wedding
Designed by Patti Murphy. Pastel colors and an invitation that unfolds like an accordion.
- Elen & David's wedding
Designed by Elen Levi. More flowers.
- Maria & Carlos wedding
Designed by Maria Peinado.
- Eric & Nadine's wedding
Designed by Nadine Brase. The interesting thing about this invitation: flipbook that accompanies it.
- Robi & Tim's wedding
Designed by Kady Jesko
