The Government of Cantabria announces its new corporate image at the end of the contest for the redesign of the image that was proposed last October, naming as the winner the Cantabrian designer, Rafael San Emeterio.
Rafael de la Sierra, Minister of the Presidency and Justice, announced the jury's decision and congratulated the young designer. In addition to pointing out the great design and its possible applications, he commented that Cantabria was the only autonomous community until now that did not have an image conditioned to the current media.
His manual of the new image proposal, tells how a simple and straightforward design it works well in a reduced dimension in different applications, such as the official website, interior spaces or stationery, such as business cards or the design of letters and documents. In the words of the young designer, his design is "an exercise in synthesis", the iconic elements of the shield have been represented with "graphic solidity".
It has been reported that after winning the redesign contest, the style book will begin. It is expected that the new image of Cantabria, may be ready for spring 2017. The corporate image manual will be carried out under the work of the designer and the technical team of the Regional Printing Office. Subsequently, a decree will be made that will regulate its use, it will be mandatory for all ministries.

This Cantabrian designer, has a long career in the field of graphic design. I study in the La Rioja Higher School of Art (ESDIR). Has experience as designer and art director in creative agencies as Flatland, Fraile & Blanco o Calcco and as a freelance in national and international agencies. It can be said that he is quite an active person. Participate in group exhibitions such as good vibration, where several artists innovate on different artistic languages, sharing an avant-garde aesthetic. In addition to participating as a speaker in events such as Behance, Illustration, Brand, Packaging Served, held this year.
