Animator Makiko Futaki from Studio Ghibli passed away on May 13 while being treated for an illness. One of the key cheerleaders of this study, which in these decades is becoming an inspiring source with great animated films to its credit.
Futaki began her professional career as an animator for Telecom Animation Film, on which she worked on Episode 153 of Lupine III: Part II. Before this, he did amateur animation that he showed at the Private Animation Festival (PAF). Work for the first time at Studio Ghibli in 1981 for Jarinko Chie and later with Hayao Miyazaki in Nausica in the Valley of the Wind.
He was working on the vast majority of Studio Ghibli films such as freelance cheerleader and as animation assistance director for Cuentos de Terramar from the same studio. Her last job was for Marnie's Memory where she worked as an entertainer.
Aside from Studio Ghibli movies, also worked as an animator for Akira, Wings of Honneamise: Royal Space Force, Milky Way Night Train and Gosenzo-sama BanBanzai !. He also illustrated the covers of the Moribito novels by Nahoko Uehashi.
Also had a very important role in Princess Mononoke as in Akira, two of the best animated films ever made, so we are facing a great loss for the world of animation that will surely miss it.
