Affinity Photo now available on Windows

Affinity Photo

If we know that in the next big Windows update, Microsoft will focus on the more creative side of the system operating that has been with us for decades, that there are applications that have been previously in Macs in Windows, such as Affinity Photo, is all great news for those who prefer this OS to Apple.

Affinity Photography, just like Affinity Designer, has just been released for its download in an open public beta. This represents the first opportunity for PC users to get their hands on an award-winning professional photo editor, previously available only for Macs.

With the Windows version you matches in features to that of Mac, which includes real-time results, non-destructive editing, RAW processing and end-to-end color management as standard. Affinity Photo is a program that will give you all the precision and quality necessary to create beautiful images from your computer screen.

Being in beta, this version comes with a number of features available for the next big update of Affinity Photo. These features are a funtion advanced HDR that produces full 32-bit linear images, focus stacking to bring depth to multiple combined images, bath processing for a faster workflow and what would be a new way to edit images in 360 degrees.

Ashley Hewson, Director of Affinity, states:

When we started developing our Afiinity apps about seven years ago, one of the keys was focus on being multi-platform, so this beta is a big milestone for us. Because we made this plan from the beginning, all of our back-end code, the main part of the Affinity engine, is completely independent of the operating system.

Not only does it mean that the compatibility between the two platforms is 100% perfect, but that all the potential, performance, tools and precision that have made the program famous on a Mac, they are there also waiting for users of Windows.
