Storyboard, the new Google AI app to transform videos into comic vignettes

Storyboard

Like Adobe, Google has shown us its great ability to create all kinds of apps that are related to photography. Its own camera app is a hit with a software-based HDR mode, which is capable of taking high-quality photos; rather tell those who have a Pixel phone in hand.

Now the big G has thrown an experimental app called Storyboard in the operating system for Android mobile devices. This app is idea to use those videos that we have and its Artificial Intelligence or AI is able to "take" the photos that best relate that video in order to transform them into a comic strip.

If Adobe is focusing its suite of programs towards AI  o Artificial Intelligence, Google is also in the same with a series of experimental apps that use the object recognition, people segmentation and different algorithms to process that video and transform it into a comic.

From the moment we start the app, will ask us to find a video so that it automatically processes it and results in a comic strip with the most relevant images. The best of all is that with a downward gesture on the screen we can change both the filters (with a maximum of six) and the randomness of the vignettes that we will have in the comic strip.

And this is the functionality of this app that does not come with anything other than the ability to transform videos into bullets. A very well designed application, simple in handling and that you have available for free in the Google Play Store. It only remains to wait for it to be launched on iOS and those of you who have an iPhone or iPad can benefit from its great utility and features.
