Now is the time for another very basic aspect, but that will allow you give it that unique look to an image or photo where you want to add text. We are going to teach how to change the color of text in Photoshop. We also go over some of the ways in which color modifications can be made.

How to change the color of text in Photoshop

  • The first is open an image in which we want to add text or create a blank document. I will just open a selected image from findaphoto
  • We select the text tool (T key) on the toolbar
  • We click on the image and drag to select a text box (this will delimit the space in which the text is located). We write the text in the box created

First step

  • We select with a double click typed text and we are modifying the size in the upper toolbar where it says «tT»

Second step

  • We make a click on the style (while the text in the image is still selected) and with the cursors we can change the font to see directly how the text is left

Style

  • Now we go on to choose the color selector which is on the right side

Selector

  • A rectangular box with options more striking for color. You can select the color you want by moving the circle in the main square or using the tone selection bar

Color

  • You also have the option to apply the color code in hexadecimal if you have one already chosen previously
  • The next thing is to click on «color libraries»To see Pantone colors and other libraries
  • You can go by clicking on the different Pantone color ranges to then choose a specific one from the new window.

Pantone

  • You can also leave the mouse pointer over some area image to use a color that is related to the image colors

Pantone

  • Click on «OK»To apply the chosen color to the text
  • Now you click on the OK icon in the toolbar to finish

Ok

You can select a specific letter with the text tool to change its color as shown in the image. Remember that if you use the eyedropper while choosing a color for each letter, you can use the same tones as the image. In this case I used the one with the spikes to conform the different tones of the statement.

If you would like to increase text size Without going through the tool, use the transform option (control + T) and enlarge it until it is in harmony with the rest of the image.
